Extra police patrols for Poets Corner and The Courtyard in Goole

Extra police patrols have been welcomed for reducing antisocial behaviour around in the town.

The Poets Corner area and The Courtyard have traditionally suffered from groups of people congregating in the streets and public areas, acting in an antisocial and disrespectful manner.

A spokesman said: "Work is ongoing to identify the offenders and target their behaviour.

"Since last month, the number of reports of antisocial behaviour has greatly reduced after extra foot patrols have been directed into the town centre."

Also, a twice-monthly PCSO stall within Goole market has been credited with making a difference.
